Collective Bargaining Conference in Santa Fe

COLLECTIVE BARGAINING CONFERENCE IN SANTA FE

A total of 37 NEA-NM members from 12 locals attended the Collective Bargaining conference in Santa Fe on Saturday, April 4, 2009. NEA-NM attorney Todd Wertheim took participants through the filing of grievances and Prohibited Practice Complaints. Both are important parts of protecting a collective bargaining agreement. This work is handled by seasoned NEA-NM members who carry out this important work, often behind the scenes. Collective bargaining is a way of practicing democracy, and it is an essential part of the work of any local.
